Rome is the city that has been running for 40,000 years. Tighten the laces and go. There are no precise rules to follow or weather forecasts to consult. No matter what your pace is or that it is pitch black. Because Rome is the city with the most alternative routes in the world; you can run endlessly without ever taking the same route again. Streets, avenues, parks, villas, alleys, underpasses, elevated causeways, and viaducts. Just run.<\/em><\/p>\n

Welcome to the Urbe of the eternal race. Welcome to We Run Rome 2012.<\/em><\/p>\n

It is winter, we know. It is cold at times. But running is a necessity, and doing it together is much more fun. Then add to that the fact that it is run on December 31 (not at midnight, mind you) in Rome, and you’ll see how engaging it can be.<\/p>\n

We Run Rome 2012<\/strong>, in addition to taking place in an extraordinary setting, has a special format: 10 km for the most experienced, 3 km for everyone else. It will be run on December 31 and-beyond the race-it will be a big party with music enlivening the course and a huge village at the Baths of Caracalla. A large stage, music, Nike Training Club and Nike+ areas, and an area entirely dedicated to all runners with styling and hair-styling services to run with the style the end of the year deserves and post-race massages to get right back in shape ready to party.<\/p>\n
