Innovative and revolutionary, there is no other way to describe it: adidas 4DFWD<\/a> is the new running shoe launched by the German brand and designed to provide runners with a revolutionary running experience, facilitating forward momentum with every step.<\/p>\n

The product was created after four years of development spent cross-referencing the vast amount of data from athlete testing with Carbon’s Digital Light Synthesis technology to fine-tune midsoles that go along with the direction and type of movement of the sport you play. Made of 39 percent biomaterial, the unique butterfly-shaped FWD CELL is specially coded to exert forward thrust following vertical impact.<\/p>\n

To describe it to you simply, think of a spring that, instead of bouncing upward, pushes you forward.<\/p>\n

Technology in the service of movement<\/h2>\n

Compared with the previous generation of 4D midsoles, adidas 4DFWD generates three times the amount of forward motion<\/strong> under a vertical load. The consequence is that the braking force experienced by the athlete during running is reduced by an average of 15 percent: the midsole redirects these vertical impact forces by converting them into horizontal forward motion.<\/p>\n

The adidas 4DFWD midsole is complemented by a new PRIMEKNIT upper partially made of recycled polyester, giving runners a superior lightweight sole that encases the foot in a seamless sock design and allowing breathability. All contained in 333 grams of weight (size UK 8.5) with a drop of 11.3 mm.<\/p>\n

\"\"adidas 4DFWD will be available in three specific colorways, including a special Tokyo Collection series, which will be the shoe of the athletes attending Tokyo. The first two color variants available through the adidas app, will be Core Black and Solar Red and will be available from May 15.<\/p>\n

The Tokyo Collection color variant will be available from July 1, before the worldwide launch from August 12.<\/p>\n
