When Brooks introduced the Hyperion family in early February (you can find a description of it here<\/a>), it was already in the air that they would very soon introduce a version of the Hyperion Elite with the brand new DNA FLASH technology that already equipped the Hyperion Tempo.<\/p>\n

And indeed, here we are talking about it.<\/p>\n

On the other hand-when you have a new, super-lightweight and extremely responsive compound-its<\/strong> natural placement is right in fast shoes for tackling races.<\/p>\n

They look the same but are very different<\/h2>\n

Although at a distracted glance the two versions of the Hyperion Elite may look very similar, the introduction of the DNA FLASH compound is expected to change their behavior greatly. In fact, already the Hyperion Tempos (which already have FLASH DNA) demonstrate a responsiveness and dynamics unlike any other Brooks model.<\/p>\n

In some ways, from a first glance, the Hyperion Elite 2<\/a> becomes an even more racing and faster version of the already highly efficient Hyperion Tempo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s only fair: if Tempo was created for fast training, it’s only fair to maintain with the Elite 2 a continuity of dynamic behavior in race shoes as well.<\/p>\n

Do not believe, however, that Brooks was limited to making only a “substitution of material.” In fact, all the dynamics have been adapted to the new compound, adding 2 mm more material to increase cushioning. The heel design has also been modified by introducing Rapid Roll<\/strong> technology, which should further improve the rolling speed of the foot, promoting less energy loss.<\/p>\n

Carbon upper and plate<\/strong>, on the other hand, are inherited from the previous model but, in a different dynamic context, should perform much better.<\/p>\n

All that remains is to try them out and “touch with your foot” these interesting new features.<\/p>\n
