Ahead of the Deejay Ten on Oct. 11, together with New Balance<\/a>, we have created content specifically for those who want to run it<\/a>. But also for anyone who has decided to start running and wants to do it the right way.<\/em><\/p>\n

I know it’s a problem that plagues almost every runner, and if there had been running shoes in the 16th century, even Hamlet would have changed his very famous doubt by asking “which ones do I buy?”<\/p>\n

It is a legitimate doubt and one that, in some ways, makes us realize how lucky we are to be runners. Imagine if you were a cyclist and had to buy a new bike: tragedy! ;)
\nInstead, we runners have the opportunity to choose a pair of shoes, try them on, change them, find out which type best suits our characteristics and our running.<\/p>\n

To better understand what shoes to buy, rather than just describing the different types (because there are so many), I prefer to recommend shoes based on what kind of runner you are. Maybe it will also help you get “different” advice than the usual advice from friends who always have the best running shoes in the world on their feet-and it’s only fair that they consider them as such since they fit them. But they may not be suitable for you as well.<\/p>\n

Now, with the introduction out of the way, let’s start with some advice.<\/p>\n

Shoes for beginning runners<\/h2>\n

If you have just started running, you especially need protection and cushioning. This will allow your body to adapt to running while minimizing the minor aches and pains that taking up a new sport can bring.<\/p>\n

Do not believe, however, that protection and cushioning mean having slow shoes. Far from it.<\/p>\n
