But, frequently, we forget a fundamental aspect of preparation: <strong>recovery<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIn particular, one of the aspects of recovery that it is essential to emphasize is <strong>sleep and its quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-usefulness-of-sleep\">The usefulness of sleep<\/h2>\n<p>Sleep is important for both the mental and physical aspects of our preparation. In the former case, in fact, quality rest allows us to better manage anxieties, fears, and concentration and&#8211;as a result&#8211;we are able to deal with unexpected events more readily and effectively. Also not to be overlooked is the &#8220;mood&#8221; factor, which frequently can give us an extra boost to face even the most demanding workouts with greater energy.<\/p>\n<p>On the physical level it is extremely important to put our muscles to regenerate properly after exertion. It is also necessary to facilitate the process of rebalancing of water, salts and electrolytes by the kidneys and a general cleansing of toxins. And how is it done? With rest.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, <strong>the difference between a good workout and a disastrous one lies precisely in the quality and quantity of sleep<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-scientific-study\">The scientific study<\/h2>\n<p>In order to better understand and provide an efficient tool for athletes, Dorelan has created a study center that focuses precisely on studying and understanding how to improve sleep quality in relation to sports performance.<\/p>\n<p>Hence was born. <strong><br \/>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dorelanreactive.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dorelan ReActive<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>, the mattress created specifically to increase and make the quality of recovery during sleep more efficient. Because it is not true that one mattress is worth the other, try talking to a fakir, for example. ;)<\/p>\n<p>ReActive is designed to improve breathability and thermal comfort at night. Dorelan also designed an innovative molecular structure in the first layer that ensures uniform density distribution over the entire contact surface. In this way, it ensures reduced falling asleep time and reduced muscle tension.<br \/>\nMoving further down in the mattress we find the Twin System ReActive: a newly developed double coil spring (made of a steel alloy with a carbon fiber) that provides progressive and constant lift throughout the resting period. This results in a reduction of nocturnal movements, lower back pain, and always correct alignment of the musculoskeletal system.<\/p>\n<p>Are these details? No, subsequent studies have in fact shown lower falling asleep times, reduced nighttime movements, and increased comfort. All measured through specific tests and instruments on athletes who used ReActive.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-test-on-marathon-runners\">The test on marathon runners<\/h2>\n<p>To back up these factors with experience and in the field, Dorelan has created two teams of runners who will participate in the Bologna and Florence marathons.<\/p>\n<p>After an initial training phase with coaches Ivan Risti and Fulvio Massini, the runners received ReActive and continued their preparation for the races.<\/p>\n<p>How is he doing?
