I remember it vividly\u2014not because it was just another day, but because the night before had been a party, one of those alcohol-heavy evenings. Looking back, I realized there\u2019s actually a scientific explanation for what happened: running can help with sobering up. At least, that\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/39216177\/\">what a study<\/a> involving 1,676 students suggests. The research found a link between the intensity of physical activity during a hangover and how quickly the symptoms fade.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"what-happened-to-me\" class=\"p4\">What happened to me?<b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">When you drink alcohol, your body faces a triple threat: dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and inflammation. It\u2019s the perfect storm for cramping, poor sleep, and that throbbing headache. Sounds like a recipe for <i>not<\/i> running, right? But here\u2019s the twist: exercise\u2014by boosting blood circulation and kickstarting your metabolism\u2014can help your body flush out toxins faster, easing hangover symptoms. Plus, it triggers endorphin production, which lifts your mood and helps relieve that general feeling of malaise. Essentially, you\u2019re giving yourself a dose of natural painkillers that combat the worst effects of dehydration and overindulgence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Not bad, huh?<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"this-is-not-an-excuse-to-drink\" class=\"p4\">This is not an excuse to drink<b><\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Of course, this isn\u2019t a free pass to drink irresponsibly.
