So you still get that soft, protective ride\u2014even when the ground beneath your feet gets less polished and more unpredictable.<\/p>\n<p>But what makes it \u201ctrail\u201d? First, the outsole. Brooks used its TrailTack Green compound, known for grip, with 3 mm lugs placed close together. Translation: enough traction to feel confident on \u201cgravel and dirt,\u201d but without that clunky cleat feel when you\u2019re back on the road\u2014so the ride stays smooth.
