You don&#8217;t have to vanish; you just have to make yourself unreachable on social media. Here is the pre-departure checklist:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Log Out:<\/strong> Closing the app isn&#8217;t enough. You must have to enter the password to get back in. Look at buildings, trees, faces.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sleep:<\/strong> Go to bed 30 minutes earlier, without blue light keeping you awake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"debrief-the-3-final-questions\">Debrief: The 3 Final Questions<\/h2>\n<p>After the 24 hours, before reopening Instagram and getting overwhelmed by 150 unread stories, take 2 minutes to answer these questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Did I miss anything vital?<\/strong> (I can already answer this one: No. The world went on anyway).<\/li>\n<li><strong>How did I feel in the &#8220;empty&#8221; moments?<\/strong> (Anxious? Bored?
