New Air Zoom Pegasus: classic and innovative

Timeless is the adjective that well defines Nike’s Pegasus series: a running shoe that is among the public’s most beloved and now in its 38th year. Proving that all reliable silhouettes are built over time, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 features minor updates and peculiarities that have remained unchanged.

WHAT’S NEW…

So many updates in the latest version of the shoe that is now a Nike classic: changes that are minimal but bound to make their mark. First, a new shape-built to provide more space at the toe-similar to pre-Pegasus 36 models. Then the improved fit, provided by the new weave system on the medial area that allows for custom lacing and fit. Even softer, multi-layered breathable mesh: increased comfort and performance for all runners, from beginners to the most experienced. Finally, separate tab with additional foam.

… AND WHAT NOT.

Zoom Air identifies that midsole technology consisting of pressurized air capsules and filaments that react to compression by releasing energy. Depending on the model, it may be present on the heel and midfoot or along the entire sole. In the new Air Zoom Pegasus 38, the Zoom Air unit in the forefoot provides a definite energy return: the shoe is more responsive and performance gains! The midsole is the same as the previous model, with full-length Nike React foam providing a smooth transition.

A FlyEase version of the Pegasus 38 features a zipper closure without laces that can be worn with one hand.

The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 is available in Europe from April 15 for Nike Members, from April 29 for everyone.
