Rain, records, or slow recovery runs: the new adidas have a solution for everything

Adidas renews the Supernova and Adizero lines and adds two brand new shoes. There's the new Rise 3 and the novelty of the Supernova Glide. Plus, there's the speed of the Adios Pro 4 and Boston 13 in a new colorway. And another new shoe: the Evo SL ATR is designed for the rain

adidas updates the runner’s toolkit with a collection that spans from the plush comfort of the Supernova line to the pure speed of the Adizero family.

  • The Supernova Rise 3 is all about comfort, featuring softer and lighter foam.
  • Meet the Supernova Glide, a versatile daily trainer built for everyday mileage.
  • The new Adizero Evo SL ATR is designed to keep you fast—even in rough weather.
  • Adios Pro 4 and Boston 13 go bold in yellow to honor Haile Gebrselassie’s record-breaking run.
  • Special attention to women’s fit in the Supernova Rise 3, adapted to female-specific anatomy.
  • Prices range from €130 for the Glide to €250 for the top-tier Adios Pro 4.

adidas Supernova and Adizero: Comfort for Starters, Speed for Lifers

There’s an interesting insight from a global adidas study that, if you think about it, feels refreshingly honest: 70% of runners say the best part of running is the end.
It’s not laziness — it’s physiology. That moment when your body relaxes and your mind enjoys the effort you just completed. And it’s from this sensation that adidas decided to renew its two most iconic families — Supernova and Adizero — with a clear goal in mind: to make the entire journey feel as good as the finish line.

The Supernova Family: If Comfort’s What You’re After

If your top priority is feeling good in your shoes, look no further than the Supernova Rise 3. Everything about it is designed so your feet don’t cross your mind. The midsole uses Dreamstrike+ foam, now 5% lighter and — more importantly — 20% softer than before. Imagine 16% more foam underfoot that somehow weighs even less.

The result is a ride that cushions and supports, step after step. And for women, there’s more than just a smaller size: the female version has a redesigned arch and heel shaped around women’s biomechanics.

Joining the Rise is the Supernova Glide, a classic daily trainer. It’s the shoe you reach for when the day’s run has no clear plan — with a dual-density midsole balancing bounce and softness, and an outsole built to go the distance.

The Adizero Family: If You’re Chasing Time (or Running Through the Rain)

On the other end of the spectrum are those who run for time. Here, adidas brings together nostalgia and cutting-edge performance. The new Adizero Adios Pro 4 and Adizero Boston 13 come in a bright “solar yellow” — a direct tribute to the shoes worn by Haile Gebrselassie in 2008 when he broke the world record in Berlin.

The Adios Pro 4 is engineered for speed: new geometry, a forefoot propulsion point, Lightstrike Pro foam for peak energy return, and ENERGY RODS 2.0 that guide a smooth heel-to-toe transition. Inspired by the revolutionary Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1, the forefoot rocker is now positioned to flex at 60% of the shoe’s total length.

The Boston 13 is built for fast-paced workouts and is now even softer thanks to more foam in the midsole. It features the same outsole as its big sibling — LIGHTTRAXION — engineered with wear-mapping data from adidas athletes to apply rubber only where it’s needed most.

But the real innovation for those who don’t stop — no matter the weather — is the Adizero Evo SL ATR. Designed for tough conditions, it brings classic Adizero lightness together with reliable protection: a woven ripstop mesh upper that repels water when the weather turns, and a full-length LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole — no stiff elements — for a smooth, natural ride. Underfoot, a Continental rubber outsole with 1.5 mm lugs delivers traction and durability across varied terrain.
