Yesterday, November 3, Apple launched its Fitness+ service in Italy as well, and as is often the case with Apple services, it integrates seamlessly with the entire hardware and software ecosystem. But let’s start from the beginning.
Fitness+ is available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV with dedicated workouts for every fitness level, age and condition and integrates seamlessly with Watch to make the experience complete.
Eleven different types of training with varying durations are available, including: High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Strengthening, Yoga, Dance, Core training, Biking, Pilates, Treadmill (for running and walking), rowing machine, and Mindful Defatigue. For those who like a little competition, HIIT, Treadmill, Bike, and Rower workouts have an optional perfromance bar (Burn Bar) that shows, in real time, how the user’s workout ranks against those who have previously completed the same workout. In all the workouts there is also a Fitness+ trainer that shows the same workout with modifications designed to allow anyone to participate, regardless of their level.

Integration, I was saying. Therein lies the key. Because the music comes from Apple Music-partly thanks to collaborations with many artists selected by the Cupertino brand’s editors-and every feature collaborates to get us moving, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Not only physically but, through meditation, also mentally and emotionally.
Inclusiveness, the right way
Sport is selective and very frequently does not take into account the limitations of individuals. If you are out of shape, doing a HIIT “full on” can be a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Exactly how limitations can come from weight, age, special conditions such as pregnancy.
In Fitness+ there are programs for everyone, even to get someone like me who has the flexibility of a titanium bar to start practicing yoga.

In short, the basic idea is to bring anyone to move. Regardless of age, preparation and fitness level.
Clearly, extremely advanced workouts can also be found, so that any need can be met.
Also for those who wish to walk

Walking is a fitness method suitable for everyone, and it is very interesting how Fitness+ has turned it into an audio experience in the company of inspiring characters. In fact, each original episode of Let’s Walk, ranging from 25 to 40 minutes, invites users to immerse themselves in a walk with influential and fascinating personalities, punctuated by anecdotes, photos, and music that are meaningful and profound to them. Each episode revolves around the recounting of significant moments in the guest’s personal life and includes lessons learned, meaningful memories, thoughts on the concept of purpose and gratitude, moments of levity, and other thought-provoking topics; The stories were recorded while these personalities were walking outdoors or in places that were meaningful to them.
How does it work?
Activating Fitness+ is easy: just go to the fitness app on the iPhone (or download the one specifically for the iPad or Apple TV) and activate the feature with a one-month free trial (which becomes 3 for those who purchase an Apple Watch). Thereafter the cost will become €9.99 per month or €79.99 if you decide to pay annually.
It came out yesterday and I haven’t tried it in depth yet: for a more detailed review, talk to you in a few days.
The videos, workouts, and episodes of Passeggiiamo are in English with Italian subtitles. It’s no big deal, believe me: after a while you won’t read subtitles anymore because you’ll understand everything perfectly. I say this from experience.
