The day before the race, it’s now tradition to join a shake out run, typically about 5 km, to release some tension, enjoy running together at an easy, controlled pace, and socialize.
The previous evening, Cascina Nascosta had hosted Speed Demons, organized by Crusher Running Club together with New Balance, giving everyone a chance to express their speed in a breathless relay, also testing out the Boston brand’s FuelCell Line. But RUN YOUR WAY also means running slowly, chatting, simply for the joy of getting together and sharing experiences.
I arrive at Cascina Nascosta at 8:45, and there are already dozens of people lining up to try the perfect shoes for the occasion: the Fresh Foam X line, created specifically for runners who love comfort and long distances.

No competition this time—just a desire to spread the Running Culture, exploring and experiencing the city, grabbing a coffee, and sharing stories.
You’ll find everyone here—from those who ran The Speed Project Solo (running alone from Los Angeles to Las Vegas) to those who have just started running and are joining their first group runs. And, of course, everyone in between. All with one goal: to shake ya ass together.
The beautiful thing about these moments is that you find a million ways of experiencing running—RUN YOUR WAY, precisely. You can almost read it on everyone’s faces. Some are still recovering from last night’s relay, because each runner interprets our sport in more ways than one. Today, you can take it slow and enjoy the April sunshine finally warming up Milan; yesterday, you might have been sprinting all out, raising clouds of dust, fighting to cross the finish line first.
In short, in three words: RUN YOUR WAY.
