Wilson Kipsang is the strongest marathoner of 2013/2014

His victory in New York last Nov. 2 only sealed an outstanding two-year period for Wilson Kipsang. A victory then achieved on a particularly cold and windy day and in a tight finish against Desisa that highlighted his exceptional athletic skills and superlative running elegance.

Kipsang was awarded the men’s World Marathon Majors title (World Marathon Majors, or the “world championship” of marathons, based on his results in the six cities-it is in fact also known as the “Big Six”-of Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York).

In fact, in the past two years he has won three, becoming the first man to win them in this time frame: in fact, he has triumphed in London, Berlin (where he set in 2013 the world record of 2h 3′ 23″ remained undefeated for a year) to finish a stellar hat trick in New York.
