Reading the story of trail runner Filippo Canetta gives one two very distinct feelings: empathy and aspiration.
Philip started running, as he tells it, after a big upset. He smoked, overworked, often had gastrointestinal problems, and frequently fell ill.
I can already see someone nodding, as if to say, “I am well aware.”
But the second part of his life, the one that made him better after discovering running and especially trail running, is the one that motivates the most, that makes one smile with hope.
In balance with nature
Philip starts running more and more: he does races, he does trails because“It’s In that instant I feel in perfect union with the nature around me. I am alone, but I could stay there for days, weeks, forever“.
