We are Runlovers: the running podcast

Let us do self-promotion, every once in a while even we like to strut a bit for what we do, and this is an occasion that fully justifies it. Today in fact, on the Audible platform, comes out.
We are Runlovers
, our “Audio Series” with stories, tales, technique, anecdotes about running and sports.

We liked the idea of making an audio series right away because we love to read, we love to run, and, this way, we have the opportunity to do both at the same time.

That is why today we are publishing the first 12 episodes of a series that-we hope-will be very long. We tell you some of the stories we love the most, the ones that are most representative and, some of which, are not known to everyone. Some episodes are about technique, current events, and events good or bad but that unequivocally marked the sport we love most: running.

Of course, we will not only talk about running because, in our minds, this audio series is dedicated
also
to those who, while not running, love to hear good stories, are passionate about the feats of ordinary people who, through sports, become extraordinary. And all of this can be heard at any time of the day, anywhere, while doing any activity. Sure, you can listen to We are Runlovers while you’re running but, believe me, it’s also perfect if you’re on public transportation on the home-to-work commute, or if you’re in the car or, more simply, if you’re sitting on the couch at home relaxing after a busy day.

Four important FAQs

Why do we talk about Audio Series? Because it is like a TV Series but without the video part, so it seems obvious to me to call it an Audio Series. I don’t think it’s necessary to continue the explanation, do you?

Why the Audible platform? Because we want to give you a quality audio product. We could have done a homemade production, with our dialectal inflections, but isn’t it a thousand times better if good content is read by a professional voice? (And we will never stop thanking that cool guy Luca Sbaragli who lent us his.)

How does Audible work? As you probably already know, Audible is an Amazon Group company that allows you to listen to as many audiobooks as you want, choosing from a gigantic number of titles (currently more than 13,000). And, in addition to audiobooks it is also possible to listen to original content such as audio series. It works exactly like Spotify or Netflix: the first 30 days are free and then there is a monthly subscription of €9.99 to continue accessing the content. The great thing is that you can download audiobooks (and series) directly to your smartphone, so you won’t consume traffic and you can listen to the content even on a plane or where you don’t have a connection.

How can I tell you that I like it? It’s easy: just leave a positive comment within the app. We have worked so hard to create content that we think is wonderful, and knowing that you like it will give us great satisfaction and the incentive to create more.

Happy listening! We are Runlovers!
