For runners who experience running as a cathartic and regenerative moment, adidas has created the Focusbreathein. These are not shoes to walk millions of miles in or to train in so much that you can’t train anymore.
Because of their lightness and breathability, Focusbreathein are, on the other hand, the shoes you wear when you want to go for a run where the focus is all on yourself but not on performance and effort. These are “meditation” shoes that in their details and construction technologies denote a desire to be holistic assistants rather than performance machines.
Already the colors and adidas’ description of it has tones that are more inspired than technological. The colorations are in fact:
- Red Root Chakra, inspired by strength and stability
- Yellow Solar Plexus, linked to happiness and optimism
- Third Eye Blue Third Eye Blue, referring to intuition and peace of mind
However, it is not only about colors with strange names. The construction and materials of the Focusbreathein pursue the same design: the upper is achieved with mess overlays that give them luminescence, and the midsole is made of EVA BOUNCELITE, which is ultra-light and has powerful energy return.
Light as thought
The result is an ultra-lightweight shoe characterized by a minimalist design that revolves around color tones and the few parts with which it is assembled, including the heel shell made of a single soft, wrap-around 3D piece and the padded tongue to prevent any distraction.
Lightness and discretion-the elements to make you forget what’s on your feet and focus only on running are all there.
The adidas Focusbreathein will be on sale in stores and on the adidas website starting January 30, 2020.
