Forgive the bold pun in the title with Ron’s song, but in the case of the Adrenaline GTS20s, years matter a great deal. Don’t you believe it? Follow me a little bit:

20 years of adrenaline
As mentioned, Adrenaline have been in the Brooks catalog for a good 20 years. The year 2001 is not just any year for the American company. Founded in 1914, it was taken over at the beginning of the new millennium by the current CEO who wanted to give it a very risky and visionary direction: he decided to cut off all but one of the company’s branches. From then on, running became the only area in which he would focus his energies. The purpose was, in many ways, to make running as democratic as possible: everyone should be able to run in the shoe best suited to individual physical conditions and preparations.
For many, for all
True to this philosophy, since the first version the Adrenaline have always been very versatile shoes suitable for the largest number of runners. In this 20th edition, they are confirmed as such, while also integrating Brooks’ three main “mechanical” technologies: GuideRails, BioMOGo DNA responsive cushioning, and LOFT DNA for ultra-soft footing.
Guiderails in particular is a knee-preserving support system that remains neutral and “off” until the runner needs it to activate only when used by runners who are not particularly trained or for those who are neutral when, perhaps due to fatigue, the foot leaves the axis with the leg inward or outward.
The tried-and-true BioMOGo DNA is similarly intelligent: it works according to the runner’s speed and weight, stiffening when you run faster (thus making the shoe more responsive) or softening at lower speeds.
Finally, DNA LOFT is above all one thing: super-softness.
Okay, but why in 20 years?
In a world that changes so rapidly, it is nice and comforting to have some fixed points. The Brooks in many ways are: same solid reliability for decades, same free-spirited, fun-loving, fun-loving spirit. With version 20, however, Brooks relaunches with a truly unique contest, with which it is committed to… the next 20 years.
