New Balance 1080 v10. All new and very WOW!

You know when you see a shoe in a picture and say “WOW!”? So that’s the effect the new New Balance 1080 v10s had on me as soon as I saw them, and the technological assumptions are no less.

That New Balance is making great products-especially very well balanced ones-is no secret, and since last May, it has been introducing a series of design innovations that evolve individual shoes with a view to amplifying their characteristics in every respect. Not to be outdone is this new version of the 1080, one of the best sellers in New Balance’s “premium” category.

Filed the aesthetic aspect, which, you may have guessed, in my opinion is really a 10-plus; the new features are really a lot.

First and foremost is the new Fresh Foam X compound, which evolves with a new asymmetrical structure to promote cushioning and medial support but allows the new 1080 v10 to have 18 percent more flexibility,11 percent more responsiveness, and greater lightness and cushioning. Not surprisingly, we are talking about a shoe that weighs 281 grams (with an 8 mm drop) while being suitable for any stride and distance.

The upper is the new Hypoknit 2.0, made in one piece with a variable structure so that flexibility, support, and protection are provided only where they are needed. Achieved through “data to design,” a methodology that guides the design of the upper based on data collected on the behavior of the fabric in its various areas.

Also new is the ultra hell heel support, 3D contoured structure built and designed for a better fit. In addition, the memory lining provides the comfort and support needed for comfortable and protected rides even on longer runs. A focus on injury protection is also provided by the spiked elevation around the Achilles tendon designed to reduce the risk of inflammation.

The unique sole design of the New Balance 1080 v10

To conclude this preview on the New Balance 1080 v10s, the tread is also new, featuring multiple zones to provide more stability at the highest pressure points and with grooves designed to increase flexibility and reduce the weight of the shoe.

The list price is 170 euros-absolutely in line with the “premium” running shoe segment-and will be available from February.

The premises for this tenth version of the 1080s are very interesting and make people want to try them. When? Soon, very soon!
