It has been several months now since the
project set up thanks to the support of Dorelan
and the
Bologna Marathons
e
Florence
has started, and tomorrow, at the starting line of the Emilian Marathon, there will be the first three athletes from our teams (
Benedetta
,
Carlotta
e
Louis
) waiting for the gunshot to sanction the start of the race.
We asked them a few questions about how the preparation went and what they are expecting from a day that will feature them.
How did the preparation go?
Wewere very professionally supervised by Ivan (Risti, ed.). He often anticipated the answers to our questions, always giving us excellent advice and food for thought: Rated 10! Now let’s see if we will live up to his expectations!
What was your most critical moment and how did you overcome it?
I hadmymost critical moment this past week, and I hope I overcame it by simply not thinking about
what I will have to run on Sunday
.
Do you think it has changed the way you rest with the ReActive?
I washonestlyincredulous. I was already sleeping on a very good mattress. After the first two days of adjustment, I was very satisfied. I definitely sleep better, still the same number of hours but I feel my muscles and back definitely more relaxed in the morning.
What do you expect from tomorrow’s race?
The reasons for running a Marathon can be a thousand, but honestly I just hope to enjoy the journey.
What will you take with you to the finish line?
The joy of what we have done
, the feat we have accomplished!
How did the preparation go?
It was a learning and fun experience, and the results were not too long in coming. Although the training schedule was seven days a week and sometimes in double sessions, they were never boring. Ivan is really a great coach.
What was it and how did you overcome the most critical moment?
Fortunately, I did not have any slumps during the preparation; the moments of greatest fatigue always coincided with the unloading time, and this meant that I did not have any stumbles along the way.
Do you think it has changed the way you rest with ReActive?
Absolutely, he really twisted it. The feeling after sleeping there is priceless, regenerated muscles and incredible sleep quality.
What do you expect from tomorrow’s race?
To be honest?I don’t know, the adrenaline is starting to peep, the thoughts are many, the pre-race anxiety is there… What I am sure to find will be the joy of the people with whom I shared the journey and preparation, and the support of the team that never gave up on us for a second.
What will you take with you to the finish line?
My best smile, and the satisfaction of having achieved a new goal set.
How did the preparation go?
Thepreparation went very well, Ivan Risti took care of every detail from the beginning, even when I had to stop together we found alternative workouts to road running.
What was it and how did you overcome the most critical moment?
The most critical moment was Stopping for sixteen very long days less than fifty days before the marathon, but fortunately I was able to get through it thanks to Ivan, who included specific workouts in the plan to get me back in shape to the best of my ability.
Do you think it has changed the way you rest with ReActive?
My way of resting has been disrupted by the Dorelan mattress, I wake up at 5:30 a.m. for work and since the hours of sleep are few (five or six on average) I have always slept poorly and very badly, now even though the hours of sleep are always few thanks to the new mattress I no longer wake up continuously at night and in the morning I am much more rested.
What do you expect from tomorrow’s race?
To fulfill my dream and finally run my first Marathon, I can’t wait!
What will you take with you to the finish line?
I will bring
One of the best experiences of my life
, I learned so many things in these four months thanks to Dorelan and Ivan Risti and most of all I met beautiful people!
It’s been quite a journey so far, now all that’s left to do is to put one foot after the other and walk along
these last forty-two thousand one hundred and ninety-five meters, q
uindi
best of luck
to our girls
Benedetta
e
Carlotta
and to our
Luigi
