Imaginehow you can improve one of Brooks’ most beloved and popular shoes. Imagine how the Glycerin can become even better, year after year. That’s what the designers at Brooks are thinking about as they refine and redefine the “Glycerin” concept each year.

How has it changed then in its 20th version? On the surface, the changes are cosmetic, but if you go to the heart, there is something substantial and new. In fact, the midsole uses a new material: it is the evolution of DNA and is called DNA LOFT v3. In fact, the new generation of this compound is even softer, thanks to the nitro-infusion process. What is the purpose of this process? To amplify softness and energy return while greatly containing weight but not at the expense of durability.
Two versions, two different experiences

Glycerin 20 is available in both “normal” and supported versions thanks to GuideRails technology. What is it all about? It is a system built into the midsole and includes two inserts-one on the inside and one on the outside-that provide guidance to the foot. Thus, by providing on-demand support, GuideRails allows your hips, knees and joints to move within a single axis of motion.
The use of DNA LOFT v3, as we said, kept the weight down to 258 grams (woman) and 286 grams (man) for the regular version and 266 grams (woman) and 298 grams (man) for the GTS version. The drop is 10 mm for both models.
The differences stop there, because both versions are priced the same: 180 euros in specialty stores or the Brooks store.
