Italian celebrities and running

  • 3 minute read

Afterlast week’s installment on international celebrities and their love for running, we could not miss the installment devoted to those at home. Among them you meet many people who, working with their bodies, have to keep them fit but also some unsuspected ones, in the sense that you never thought they loved to exercise. Instead. Let us proceed as always without any alphabetical order ;)

Ghemon

The singer has been practicing running since time immemorial. We really like about him-in addition to his music-the candor with which he spoke about depression, not to be pitied but to share with anyone who knows and experiences it, his experience and how he dealt with it. Besides, he is really pure, sincere and very nice!

Gianni Morandi

Among all the singers and show business personalities who love running he is the undisputed king. He has been running for decades, has done an infinite number of marathons and also teaches us how to accept the passage of time that leaves marks on performance. Accepting it and laughing a lot about it. Special award for him for how he responds to rancorous and hater comments on his social media: like a gentleman, always.

Linus

How many people have you brought to running with your DJ10s and talking about it on the radio? The director and voice of Radio Deejay Linus is a committed runner and, for the past few years, also a bike lover. Somewhat less so than swimming, which according to his accounts he does not do very well. You can’t have everything in life!

Paolo Nori

One of the most talented and ironic (as well as a profound connoisseur of Russia and translator of many Russian authors) Italian writers, Paolo Nori from Parma often speaks on social media about race but he does so in a highly original and very funny way, as is in his somewhat surreal spirit. Like when he writes tweets about it (and I invite you to follow him, of course):

Ci son delle mattine che, quando scendi a correre hai una testa, dentro la testa, che ti sembra che potresti correre cinque ore di fila.

Maximilian Rosolino

Swimming champion Max Rosolino, having ditched the goggles he used in the water, did not stop. After confessing that he always looked at runners with a smile because he did not understand them, he found himself loving doing so very much. And it hasn’t stopped since.

Massimo Ambrosini

In an interview, he confessed to us that he started running after he stopped playing soccer, both to stay in shape and to continue cultivating his competitive spirit. And when faced with competitions, he doesn’t back down; in fact, he does a lot of them.

Mario Draghi

If you were expecting a photo from Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s Instagram account, unfortunately I will have to disappoint you. He does not have one, and if he did, knowing him, I doubt he would post pictures of his workouts or times. He is a runner, though, and photos of him in Rome’s city parks can be found running around. To always be focused in his work, which is quite important. For all of us.

Vasco Rossi

Rock in Italy undoubtedly has his name. To be able to maintain his status for so many decades Vasco Rossi always underwent running or biking workouts, especially before tours. Because you have no idea how physically exhausting it is to support a live show of the kind he does, gathering tens of thousands of people to dance and be moved and smile and have fun.

Nicholas Savino

Like Linus-with whom he hosts DJCI Monday through Friday on Radio Deejay-Nicola Savino also runs and bikes. Famous for his imitations, his characters, and as a TV host, Nicola is a bit like many of us: he tries very hard to control his weight and likes to play sports because he also loves to eat and the pleasures of the table. And with a good run before or after you can experience them without a lot of worries.

Elizabeth Canalis

The former sailor has always been a sports lover. On her social media she often talks about it and just as often posts photos of her workouts and how she keeps herself in such wonderful shape, all the time. With sports, of course!

The list goes on

This is not an exhaustive list, as you can well imagine. If you can think of any other celebrities you know that run let us know :)
