A very few days havepassed since the launch of the Nike ZoomX Zegama Trail-a shoe that is particularly eagerly awaited because for the first time ZoomX foam is introduced in a trail running model-that Nike surprises us with a little bombshell: the Nike ZoomX Ultrafly Trail.
If on the Zegama we were quite prepared, thanks to the many leaks in the past months, this Ultrafly comes almost unexpectedly. I say almost because, in any case, there had been rumors of a Nike trail running model for some time but no images had been leaked nor were we expected to see official, detailed photos of a product already made and finished in the hands of elite athletes around the world.
The racing vocation-as well as the name and aesthetics-is confirmed by the presence of a carbon plate along the entire length of the midsole, a real novelty (for Nike that is) in a trail running shoe. Another interesting detail is definitely the upper made of VaporWeave, a proprietary material that is very light and strong as well as water-resistant, inherited from its high-end road sisters. May we also hope for a sole with a grip worthy of the name? We shall see.
The bad news? The Nike ZoomX Ultrfly Trail will be available are in spring 2023.
