Some people on vacation relax, and then there are runners. Why beach yourself in the sun sipping an ice-cold caipirinha when you can do some honest toil in the mountains?
From August 3 to 7, Brooks is organizing its first training camp dedicated to trail running: five days and four nights in Livigno, the adopted home of all athletes who need or simply want to train at altitude. Endurance workouts, testing of new products (such as the brand new Brooks Caldera 6s), late-night outings, nutrition workshops, and – I hope – plenty of pizzoccheri, nutritionist permitting. All in the company of Michele Evangelisti, an experienced coach with a focus on long distances.
The Trail Camp is open to a maximum of 30 participants and is intended for people who already have a minimum of experience. In fact, it is necessary to have a competitive medical certificate, to have experience on technical trails of category EE (experienced hikers) and on altitudes over 2000 meters above sea level, and to have participated in at least one trail race.
You can simply register here, or you can enter the contest to win free participation in the camp: in this case you will have to write a short (very short, 500 characters, you can’t deviate!) text telling about a small adventure of yours related to trail running.
