A week full of novelties, with one special feature: they are all about the trail.
Two of the shoes we present have one thing in common: extreme lightness.
The third has something (very) artistic about it and an unforgettable color.
And it is part of an entire trail kit presented at UTMB 2024. Here they are!

The North Face SUMMIT SERIES X IKB
The greatest artists often have a favorite color that ends up being “Their Color.”
French painter Yves Klein arrived after much experimentation to define a blue tone so distinctive and distinctive that it was patented in 1954 as “IKB – International Klein Blue.”
The North Face has dedicated a capsule to this very shade of blue, also establishing an unprecedented point of contact between art and sport.
Presented for UTMB, the collection includes the entire kit of the ultratrail runner.
All dipped and dripping in Klein Blue.
The TNF x IKB VECTIV™ Enduris III are available online and in stores for 140 euros.

Norda 005, mission: indestructible

In fact, the brand was born in the midst of covid.
It was founded by a couple: Nick and Willa Martire, two ultrarunners who were not comfortable with what the market offered.
Everyone was at home, there was more time.
Some learned how to bake bread (🙋), they made a trail shoe company that exploded, quickly becoming wildly popular.
Those who don’t have Norda’s have heard of them, those who have heard of them want them.
But Norda’s are not for everyone: they don’t have gigantic production (the company is small, only 12 people work there) and they cost, a lot.
But do they really cost that much? Why? They cost a lot, but they are so durable that they last a long time.
And that answers the second question: they cost a lot because they are made of exceptional materials, and so they last proportionately.
The new model – called Norda 005 – moves the limit even further: it is so durable and lightweight that it is indestructible, at least according to Norda itself, which has tested it on the most extreme terrain.
The sole is Vibram Megagrip Elite, of which Norda has exclusive use.
The midsole is Arnitel, an ultra-high-performance compound that only one company in the world can produce.
And then there is the upper made of Dyneema, which is a fabric that is used for bulletproof vests and in sailboats, made entirely from recycled materials.
It is so durable that you could hang three cars on it, so the protection it can provide to the wearer is total.
All of this comes at a cost (not yet made official) but it also serves to ensure a very light product that you forget you have on your feet and is capable of protecting you and giving you an extreme elastic response.
To run forgetting what you are wearing, on the roughest terrain and in the most prohibitive conditions.
