Aer Stretching is an innovative discipline that combines stretching, muscle strengthening and relaxation exercises in one workout. Created by Tamara Shengeliya and her son Alexander Levi, it originated from Tamara’s experience of discovering this method to relieve back pain and her decision to share its benefits. Mother and son brought their training format to Europe from Los Angeles, opening the first specialized studio in Berlin.
More than just stretching
Aer Stretching is a practice that combines yoga, physiotherapy techniques, and functional training. It is not just a typical stretching routine: it works in a deeper and more complete way, combining movement control with breathing and suspension.
Classes are conducted with the help of special equipment, such as ropes and supports, which allow for spinal stretching, posture improvement, and the release of joints from gravity. Depending on the class focus, the exercises may be more dynamic or meditative, but always with the goal of relaxing the body and mind.

A typical lesson
Each session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and takes place in a calm environment with a specialized instructor. The session includes:
1. A warm-up phase with breathing exercises and preparatory movements.
2. Stretching and exercise sequences with the support of ropes and equipment.
3. Light muscle work to enhance tone and stability.
4. A final massage followed by a relaxation phase to release tension.
One of the most unique moments is the suspension in the air, which allows the spine to stretch effortlessly. It’s an experience that leaves a sense of lightness and well-being!
We hope that, following Berlin’s success, more centers will open soon, possibly in Italy, so everyone can experience this new discipline with countless benefits firsthand!
