- The new Brooks Caldera 8 offers greater comfort, cushioning, and grip, allowing you to tackle long distances on any terrain with confidence.
- Compared to the Caldera 7, it improves the fit and the outsole provides superior traction.
- Brooks also presents the High Point 2.0 waterproof jacket, perfect for outdoor adventures thanks to its practicality and protection.
Brooks Running has unveiled the new Caldera 8, the latest evolution of its trail running shoe designed to offer maximum comfort and stability over long distances. This new version offers even more cushioning and improved grip to keep you moving forward swiftly on any type and condition of terrain, making running smoother and safer, regardless of the terrain.
What’s new compared to the Caldera 7?
The new Caldera 8 maintains the philosophy and intent of the previous model (which I personally loved, which I used and “wore out” in several training sessions and with which I also ran several races, including the Monza Montevecchia Eco Trail) but introduces several substantial improvements:
- the new asymmetric design provides a more secure and snug fit, ensuring better control on technical terrain;
- the midsole still features the DNA LOFT v3 technology, which, however, has been optimized to provide an even lighter and more responsive feel;
- the most important new feature is the Trail Tack Green rubber outsole, redesigned to improve grip on slippery surfaces such as wet rocks and mud.
Protection and safety for every trail
In addition to improved cushioning, the Caldera 8 offers a reinforced structure that protects your feet from impacts with rocks and roots, working in synergy with a durable and protective upper. The end result is a shoe that allows you to tackle any trail with maximum safety combined with comfort.
Not just shoes: introducing the High Point 2.0 jacket
To complete the trail gear, Brooks is also launching the new High Point 2.0 waterproof jacket (another must-have from last season). This new version of the jacket features extra space for a hydration pack and a fold-down front pocket to provide convenience on longer, more demanding trainings or races, in addition to its exceptional waterproofing. Plus, it is certified carbon neutral, combining performance and sustainability in one garment.
The new Brooks Caldera 8 is available for 150 euros at brooksrunning and in selected specialty stores. The High Point 2.0 jacket, on the other hand, can be purchased for 180 euros.
