We were there. Under Armour hosted us in Dubai at the launch of the new Infinite Elite 2, unveiled in the brand’s largest Brand House, located inside the iconic Dubai Mall.
Boundless, effortless, limitless
These are the three adjectives Under Armour uses to summarise the key features of the Infinite Elite 2, which, alongside the UA Infinite Pro 2 and UA Infinite, forms part of the Infinite Collection.
The Infinite Elite 2 promises a comfortable and effortless running experience, helping you run longer and farther. When you exert less effort, your legs stay fresh, allowing you to continue for more miles during your workouts. This new version has been refined to make you a more durable and high-performing runner.
What’s new with the Infinite Elite 2
Compared with the previous version, Infinite Elite 2 has important and significant improvements:
- Enhanced midsole: the full-length UA HOVR+™ is softer, lighter and ultra-responsive. It provides greater rebound and reduces impact with every step, enhancing the running experience.
- Optimized stability: new heel design ensures softer landings and greater overall stability, ideal for longer, more challenging runs.
- Breathable upper: the new engineered mesh upper is even lighter and more breathable, increasing the feeling of comfort even during longer runs.
For the occasion, key figures involved in the development of the Infinite Elite 2 shared their insights. These included middle-distance runner Adam Fogg, a professional athlete with the UA team, Cory Leslie his coach at UA Mission Run Baltimore Distance and Jonathan Hutnyan Senior Product Line Manager & Performance Run Footwear for the brand.
They discussed their experiences, perspectives, and the philosophy behind the creation of the Infinite Elite 2, a shoe designed to be the go-to choice for slow runs, easy runs, and recovery runs.
The Infinite Elite 2 is designed to be the perfect training companion to build a solid foundation, which is essential to succeed in more intense speed work. In these cases, the Velociti Elite 2 is the ideal shoe for running at faster, more sustained paces, waiting for the update of the Velociti line, currently under development by the brand.
The Dubai experience
Over the course of our three days in Dubai, we began testing the Infinite Elite 2 on three different occasions: during a sunrise run discovering Dubai Marina, then at sunset on the Kite Beach and then concluding with the unique experience of running in the Al Qudra desert, experiencing a feeling of freedom and lightness that only such an extraordinary landscape can offer.
The experience has ended but the test continues
